- DPCD's application process leads users through the process step by step.
- Planning: A Short Guide is a pdf that also leads users through the most common processes including applying for and objecting to a planning permit.
- Nillumbik Planning Scheme. As well as the planning scheme, including zoning and overlay maps, there are also links to scheme amendments and the Victoria Planning Provisions (VPPs).
- They also have an extensive amount of other information at DPCD planning.
Land Victoria information
- Planning Maps Online are printable interactive maps and reports showing zoning and overlay details. The Get Report function prepares a Zone and Overlays report. The folders and tick-boxes in the Build Map function can be used to refine detail.

View status of applications and applications being advertised
See planning applications to view status. Details are instantly and automatically searchable when applications are lodged on our system, the status is changed or a decision is made. Searches can be made by date, address, title details or application number.
See applications being advertised to view applications with an advertising status in our system. Applications are instantly and automatically shown when the status is changed to an advertising status, and removed when the status is no longer for advertising. This is additional to statutory requirements and occasionally there may be errors if the status in our system is not correctly shown.
Viewing files at Council
You are encouraged to make contact with Planning Services by phone (initial contact not required for applications being advertised). Some files may take up to three weeks to locate and retrieve, and even current files are not always available for on-the-spot viewing. Viewing is free, however if you require photocopies of permits, endorsed plans or a detailed permit history, then a fee is required.
