Arts Advisory Committee

The Arts Advisory Committee represents a wide cross-section of the local arts community and is committed to supporting the fostering of active lifestyles and artistic expression through participation and innovation and the delivery of dynamic outcomes of the Arts and Cultural Plan 2018-2022

The Arts Advisory Committee is comprised of seven volunteer community members, who individually represent one of the three areas of arts and culture based on the National Arts and Culture Accord:

  • Core arts (e.g. music, performing arts, literature, visual arts, cultural venues, events, education institutions)
  • Creative industries (e.g. publishing, film, television, new media, fashion, design)
  • Cultural heritage (e.g. museums, galleries, libraries, indigenous)

Expressions of interest

There is a vacancy for a volunteer community representative on the Arts Advisory Committee, with expertise in the performing arts. If you have strong links to the Shire and can provide expert knowledge and advice on performing arts, can commit to six-weekly meetings over a two-year period, we’d love to hear from you.
