Road Management Plan
Council's Road Management Plan 2009 outlines Council’s road management responsibilities, lists the road assets and details the standards of service and maintenance for roads within the Shire.
Roads Excluded from Public Register
Council does not maintain roads excluded from the Public Register. Reasons may include that it may be a road reserve, private road, where the road is utilised for emergency access only or where the road is not constructed to Council standards.
Special Charge Schemes
Construction of unmade, local roads in the Shire need to be funded through a Special Charge Scheme, where the cost of construction is met by property owners.
Typically, Special Charge Schemes are initiated by residents via a petition or form letters signed by property owners indicating their interest for road construction.
Further information regarding Special Charge Schemes can be found in Council's Special Charge Scheme Brochure, Apportionment and Contribution Guidelines 2005 and Policy and Procedures.
