School Holiday Bus

Teenagers want to get out and about in the school holidays – and now they can!

The community bus will be operating around the Shire along the same route as the Saturday Bus on Tuesdays and Fridays during the school holidays.

The bus times coincide with the Hurstbridge train schedule, so for a gold coin donation take the bus!

  • Tuesday 23 September
  • Friday 26 September
  • Tuesday 30 September
  • Friday 3 October

Nillumbik Shire Council works with the Saturday Bus Committee and a team of volunteer drivers to provide transport for teenagers living in areas not serviced by public transport. For timetable, see Related Documents.

Saturday Bus - Spring Summer Timetable

The Autumn Winter timetable for the Saturday Bus finishes on Saturday 4 October 2014. The Spring Summer timetable is coming soon and will include an extra run at the end of the day to make the most of daylight savings.

Download the Saturday Bus Autumn Winter timetable (0.17MB) or pick up a printed copy from the Saturday Bus, the general stores at St Andrews, Panton Hill and Smiths Gully, or call 9433 3723 or email community@nillumbik.vic.gov.au.

Your gold coin donation is welcome and will contribute to running costs.

And many thanks to our awesome team of dedicated volunteer drivers and our sponsors, the St Andrews Market Committee.

About the Saturday Community Bus service

The Saturday Bus is coordinated and driven by an awesome team of volunteers in partnership with support from Council and sponsorship from the St Andrews Market Committee.

The bus travels from Hurstbridge station to Panton Hill, Smiths Gully, St Andrews, Cottles Bridge and back to Hurstbridge train station. It is a great way to visit the market, or venues such as the Panton Hill Hotel for lunch, without having to worry about parking.
