Get active! Did you know? To stay healthy all you need to do is walk briskly for 30 minutes a day or 10 minutes three times a day. Council, together with the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation VicHealth (MetroActive Project), have developed the Nillumbik Active Community Map and a complementary walking brochure. Recognition and nominations to Council’s Advisory Committees
In accordance with current Terms of Reference two year membership terms expire in May 2007, and hence Council is seeking expressions of interests from community representatives to serve on its Advisory Committees.
pt4me2 - Putting the public back into public transport
pt4me2 is a new website by the Metropolitan Transport Forum which represents 18 local councils across Melbourne, including Nillumbik, on public transport issues. pt4me2 is about putting the public back into public transport. It gives the community another opportunity to have their say on public transport and contribute to public transport decisions. It’s also an experiment in new ways of involving the public – via blogging, MySpace, YouTube and sms – in public transport decision making. You
