News>My Street Project - ABC Radio National needs your input
| About My Street | | Using video, audio, images or text, express what your street means to you.
The story can be recorded on a mobile phone, an MP3 player, a video camera or digital camera and, if you like, it can be edited and mixed. Or it can be simply a written description or a series of photos with captions. It’s up to you. Stories should be no longer than seven minutes (for audio/video) or 700 words (for text).
There are so many characters inhabiting the streets of Australia, and they have diverse tales to tell — like the people who hide behind the blinds, the children who play on the street, the elderly people who tend their front gardens, the parents who parade up and down with their prams, the dogs who mark out their territory, the lost shopping trolleys, the garden gnomes, the rev heads and the parking cops.
Where's your street?
There's a competition too - this closes on 7 November - go to www.abc.net.au/rn/mystreet for more information.
