Council hosts citizenship ceremonies throughout the year for Nillumbik residents on behalf of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Applications for citizenship are made directly to the Department. Once the Department has assessed and approved the application, the list of candidates is sent to Nillumbik for the ceremony and presentation of citizenship certificates.
