This Girl Can

Grants of up to $500, from a grant pool of $7,500, were available as part of the 2022 VicHealth ‘This Girl Can’ campaign from 12 to 18 September 2022, to support community sporting groups and not-for-profit organisations to deliver sport or active recreation participation opportunities targeting women and girls.

2022 Recipients

Eltham Cricket Club

Cricket skills clinic by a female cricket talent  |  $750
Female cricket talent to attend a training session, join in activities and assist the females with knowledge, tips and tricks on playing cricket, having fun, getting involved and continue to play cricket for years to come.

Eltham Redbacks Football Club

This Girl Will 2022  |  $750
Hosting a skill development session to inspire, motivate and engage with our players from MiniRoos Girls, Junior Girls and Senior Women programs, featuring a speaker from Football Victoria.

Hurstbridge Bowling and Recreation Club

Girls On The Green  |  $750
Purchase of smaller-sized bowls to cater for women with smaller hands in the community to encourage participation.

Lower Eltham Cricket Club

Girls Cricket   |  $750
Sessions during This Girl Can Week to foster junior girls cricket teams.

Plenty Tennis Club

Women's Cardio tennis lessons  |  $750
Combination of tennis and cardio lessons over several days to inspire women to get active and fit in a fun and friendly environment.

Plenty Valley Cricket Club

Come and Play Cricket Girls Day  |  $750
Showcase come-and-try afternoon of cricket skills and drills for girls.

Free women's clinic for beginner golfers.

Yarrambat Junior Football Club

One hour session with three current AFLW players, to show young girls what football is all about and why they should get involved.
