Knit your own Trauma Teddies

Across Australia tens of thousands of Trauma Teddies are given out each year to a diverse range of services and organisations providing care to our communities, and to young people and children who have been impacted by trauma – from illnesses, fire, floods or other disasters.

Interested in joining the army of Trauma Teddy knitters? Download all the information and pattern(PDF, 764KB) and start knitting today.

We have a limited number of packs on offer for our older residents. If you already have knitting supplies, please download the information document with the pattern. If you do not have supplies, we can bring the pack to your doorstep which includes wool and stuffing to create one bear, pattern instructions, and knitting needles. Once you have knitted your teddy, please contact us and we will pick it up from you.

Due to the current situation, we implore that ALL knitters properly sanitise their hands and equipment prior to knitting, and prior to handling knitting needles, materials or packaging. Please do not knit the Trauma Teddies if you are feeling unwell.

If you have any questions or want to participate, please contact Iwona our Social Connections Officer by calling during business hours on 9433 3148 or email at any time
