Saturday Community Bus

About this service

The Saturday Community Bus service is coordinated by the Wadambuk St Andrews Community Centre and sponsored by the St Andrews Market. The bus is driven by a dedicated team of volunteers in the northern areas of the Shire on Saturdays.

The bus travels from Hurstbridge Railway Station to Panton Hill, Smiths Gully, St Andrews, Cottles Bridge and back to Hurstbridge. It is a great way to visit the St Andrews Market, or venues such as the Panton Hill Hotel, without having to worry about parking or driving.

The bus can seat up to nine passengers. Pre-bookings are not accepted.

By law, seatbelts must be worn by all passengers on this bus.

This means that the bus cannot transport babies and young children who require age-appropriate baby capsules or booster seats. While we regret any inconvenience this might cause families wishing to travel on the bus, we must comply with the law.

The Saturday Bus is categorised as a private vehicle and is subject to private vehicle law. All laws that apply to seatbelt use in private vehicles, also apply to our bus. More information is available at the VicRoads website.
