COVID-19 restrictions extended

The Victorian Government has extended the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions for another seven days.

The extension will continue to impact the Council services, facilities and events although essential services will remain in place. Full details can be found here.

There are coronavirus exposure sites across Melbourne. If you, or your friends or family went to any of the exposure sites listed here at the times indicated, please follow the advice given for that particular site.   

If you have cold or flu like symptoms, such as a cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or runny nose, even if these are mild, you should get tested for COVID-19.  

The Banyule Community Health testing clinic at Civic Drive, Greensborough, has extended its operating hours. Residents are urged to pre-register here to speed up the process at the clinic.

Getting vaccinated helps protect you from getting sick from COVID-19. Vaccination centres are open to people who are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. You can find out more here. 

The Victorian Government has also announced the doubling of support packages available to eligible businesses affected by the restrictions.

Business Costs Assistance Program grants of $2500 for eligible businesses directly affected by the industry restrictions, including restaurants and cafes, event suppliers, accommodation providers and non-essential retailers, will be doubled to $5000 for eligible businesses in metropolitan Melbourne. 

Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund grants of $3500 for businesses holding an eligible liquor licence and food certificate will be doubled to $7000 for eligible businesses in metropolitan Melbourne. Businesses will be emailed directly by the Victorian Government.
