Celebrate Christmas with a Nillumbik festive grant
Published on 03 September 2021
The countdown to Christmas has begun with applications now open for Nillumbik Shire Council’s festive grants.
Local community groups, not-for-profit organisations and schools are invited to apply for grants of up to $1000 to deliver a project, program or activity that celebrates the festive season in a COVID-safe way.
The activities will be showcased in the Nillumbik Festive Calendar in the lead-up to Christmas.
Projects must align with at least one of the following themes:
- Creating a sense of belonging
- Increasing opportunities for community connection
- Supporting new activities in a public place
- Supporting shop local and/or locally made.
Last year, festive grants were used for festive hampers to support families doing it tough, carolling, cooking demonstrations, historical plays and displays, craft programs, window displays and township decorations.
If you have an idea for a celebration this year, please talk with our Place Activation team on 0456 641 397 or 0438 834 306, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We encourage you to be creative and think outside the box!
Applications close on Sunday 3 October at 11.59pm.
