As part of our commitment to improving our services for the Nillumbik community, our Annual Community Survey will start on Saturday 4 February 2023.

Over the next month, representatives from independent research firm Metropolis Research will be door-knocking homes, conducting face-to-face interviews with 500 randomly selected Nillumbik residents.

The annual survey, which has been conducted in Nillumbik since 2011, is confidential and the questions will cover a broad range of topics, providing us important feedback.

The results of this survey are critical as they inform our efforts to continually improve our delivery of services to the community.

What is the survey about?
The Victorian Government requires all councils in Victoria to have their performance measured in a community satisfaction survey. You can find out more about this on the Local Government Victoria website - Local Government Victoria. The survey provides Council with a range of information on community satisfaction, sentiment, feel and involvement in Council’s operations, services, programs and facilities.

Why has the Council hired Metropolis Research to do this survey? Why don’t they do it themselves?
To meet Victorian Government requirements, the survey must be conducted by an accredited social research company. This ensures it is done correctly and without bias. Five hundred interviews are being conducted with Nillumbik residents.
