Volunteers help guide Council in environmental matters through membership of the Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee and the Panton Hill Bushland Reserve Advisory Committee.

 

Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee is to provide a formal mechanism for Council to consult with key stakeholders, seek specialist advice and enable community participation in environmental sustainability issues, initiatives, policies and strategies.  

It currently comprises ten members including two Councillor representatives and eight community representatives, who have been selected to reflect a range of interests, expertise and experience from across the Shire. Community representatives are appointed for a two year term or until otherwise resolved by Council. The Committee's Terms of Reference(DOCX, 71KB) are dated 2017.

Panton Hill Bushland Reserve System User Group Committee

The Panton Hill Bushland Reserve System (PHBRS) User Group Committee aims to encourage an understanding, appreciation, enjoyment and care within the community, of the significant natural features, biodiversity, social, educational, recreational, and historical values of the Panton Hill Bushland Reserves.
