Eltham Library Community Gallery

Opened in 1994, the Eltham Library Community Gallery (ELCG) is a much-loved community gallery space, that sits within the Eltham Library complex. It was designed by multi award-winning Melbourne architect, Gregory Burgess.

The Eltham Library Community Gallery is an important platform for emerging artists that provides entry into professional practice.

The gallery space offers a diverse exhibition program that showcases both traditional forms of art-making and new methods of art production, along with themes and ideas that are relevant to our times.

Apply to exhibit - 2022 program applications now open

Exhibition proposals are sought from artists, artist groups or organisations and curators who live, work or study in Nillumbik, or have strong, ongoing connections to Nillumbik.

ELCG exhibitors are offered:

  • generously subsidised gallery fee
  • no commission on sales
  • curatorial support, installation and promotion
  • inclusion in ELCG’s program publications
  • insurance for eligible exhibitors
