Nominations now open

Do you know someone who has done something outstanding who deserves to be recognised publicly?

Maybe they’ve coached the local footy team, gone over and above making costumes for school plays, or been a vital part of a local community group – whatever they’ve done, now’s your chance to make sure they’re recognised for the time that they’ve given to our local community.

Each year we recognise and honour the high achievements of ordinary individuals and community groups, who do extraordinary things within Nillumbik Shire. If you know someone who has showed what an asset they to the community during 2021, nominate them now.

Award categories

There are four award categories available for nomination:

  • Nillumbik Young Citizen of the Year (12 - 25 years)
  • Nillumbik Senior Citizen of the Year (60 years and over)
  • Nillumbik Volunteer of the Year
  • Nillumbik Community Group of the Year

The Citizen of the Year Award is determined by the overall highest score received through the judging process.

Members of the community are encouraged to nominate those that make them proud to be Australian.
