Great Southern Bio Blitz 2021

GSBB.png

Be part of the Great Southern Bioblitz (GSB) in 2021 for its second year running by getting your local area involved.

The GSB will run through the online citizen science platform iNaturalist. iNaturalist is an online social network of naturalists, citizen scientists, and biologists built on the concept of mapping and sharing observations of biodiversity across the globe. Projects for each area will also be created using this platform.

Nillumbik Shire is home to a wide range of plants and animals, some not found anywhere else in the world. So how many can you find? Nillumbik Shire Council is participating in the largest survey across the Southern Hemisphere. Help scientists by discovering the wildlife in Nillumbik Shire from the 22nd-25th October 2021 and compete with other cities from across the Southern Hemisphere.
