Throughout the Music, mindfulness and mental health program you will develop strategies to reduce stress and anxiety in your life and provide you with tools to develop a deeper sense of wellbeing.
You will be learning and sharing these approaches with others in a safe and caring group atmosphere, using holistic and recovery-based methods. There will be a series of activities to empower you through relaxation, creativity, journaling, self-observation and mindful activities accompanied with peaceful harp music.
Come and join Michael as we discuss methods to help us ride the waves of life, whatever the weather. About the tutor Michael Johnson has studied Health Sciences and is continuing to develop his knowledge and passion in the field of neuroscience.
He has been running the Music & Mindfulness program at Delmont Psychiatric Hospital for a decade and facilitating retreats at the Gawler Foundation for thirty years. Michael is the resident harpist and composer for the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne, and has produced 13 CDs including recordings for meditation.
