PURE

Yarra Valley artist Cindy Campbell will exhibit PURE at Montsalvat, a series of oil paintings and ceramics created on Wurundjeri Country, Yarra Valley.

Cindy's work spans various mediums including paint, clay and photography. In PURE she translates the embodiment of emotion into a contemplation on canvas, using paint to reflect her state.

Employing colour to communicate a state of being, Campbell invites audiences to absorb her paintings’ harmony as an antidote to the chaos of the modern moment. They hum with layers of colour and feeling, prompting close inspection while rejecting distraction. She pairs repetitive brushstrokes with tonal layers to convey how the experience of a moment is composed of many moments gone before.
