This session will help grant writers to have a better chance of being successful in their grant applications.

It is designed for people involved in charities, community groups, sporting organisations and other non-profits that intend to or are currently seeking and applying for grants through their local communities and other funding sources.

This session will help the application process and assist the organisation to explore additional funding alternatives for longer-term sustainability.

Topics include:

  • Understanding the funder
  • Aligning the project with funder outcomes
  • Defining the projects benefits for the community
  • Understanding grant eligibility criteria and guidelines
  • Adhering to the grant conditions and responsibilities
  • Preparing the budget
  • Evaluation of the project and the acquittal

This session will be followed at 12.45pm by the Nillumbik Community Fund Information Session. Come along to learn more about Council’s annual community grant program, Nillumbik Community Fund, opening in February 2023. Find out whether you are eligible to apply and what can be funded. You can also find out about Council’s other community grant programs opening throughout the year. This will be followed by a free lunch and chat with our grant program staff to ensure your project has the best chance at success.
