Eltham Library Community Gallery (ELCG)

Eltham Library Community Gallery is a community gallery space. Exhibition proposals are sought annually from individual artists, artist groups or organisations and curators who live, work, study or have strong, ongoing links to the Shire of Nillumbik. Please read the ELCG Exhibitor Information and Conditions of Use 2018_2019 below.

The 2019 gallery program will include a series of free events called Gallery Gigs. Gallery Gigs will include artist demonstrations and workshops, interactive and collaborative activities, plus live music/entertainment sessions. Check the gallery for upcoming events or see our events web page. Details will be available from the end of January 2019.

ELCG exhibitors are assisted with:

  • generously subsidised gallery hire
  • insurance available for eligible exhibitors
  • no commission charged on sales
  • support with installation and promotion
  • inclusion in annually published exhibition program

Applications to exhibit in 2019 closed on 13 August 2018.

Applications to exhibit in 2020 will open on 1 July 2019.

Renewal-Black Saturday Memorial Exhibition

24 January-25 February 2019

Applications to exhibit have now closed.

This special memorial exhibition will commemorate the 10th anniversary of Black Saturday. It will be hosted by:

  • Eltham Library Community Gallery, Panther Pl, Eltham 3095, and
  • Wadambuk Art Gallery, 35 Caledonia St, St Andrews, 3761

Exhibition applications were sought from community members with artworks responding to the theme of Renewal
