Business Networking Series

Nillumbik, Banyule and Whittlesea Councils, in collaboration with Prime Solutions Training & Consulting are helping small businesses stay connected virtually and build relationships in a way that meets social distancing guidelines.

At each networking event we profile a business from one of the municipalities. Each profiled business is unique and a brief interview with them will provide a broad range of learnings and insights. During the interview, participants will be invited to post questions. We then facilitate two break-out networking sessions designed to help you build connections and relationships with other businesses in the three municipalities.

At the September Business Networking Event we shine a spotlight on Melanie & Mick Sheard of Nillumbik based business, Imbue Distillery.

We chat with Mel about their business, their learnings and their future plans post COVID-19.
Husband and wife, Melanie & Mick Sheard, both come from hospitality backgrounds. They dabbled in home brewing and launched Imbue Distillery only two years ago.

As we shine the spotlight on Imbue Distillery, we will chat with Mel about:
  • What are the things do they know now that they wish they knew BEFORE they started their business?
  • What lessons have they learnt about themselves as a business and their relationship with each other?
  • The positive outcomes for their business and lives as a result of the lockdown
