COVID-19 Quick Response Grants


With such a strong response, applications are now closed as the funds have been fully allocated.

Over $50,000 has been successfully awarded to community groups and organisations from the COVID-19 Quick Response Grants. These grants have provided much needed support to various projects across the community to assist those in need during this time.

NB. All successful applicants will be required to abide by State govt guidelines on COVID-19 restrictions and requirements relevant at the time in which the project / initiative is delivered.

Yarrambat Park - Virtual ClinicsVirtual Golf Clinics offered to both members and non-members to keep people connected.

Diamond Creek Rotary SecondBite - Equipment 2 x Fridges to store over 650kgs of fresh food delivered weekly to those in need.

Diamond Valley Community Support - Food Relief to community members Food parcels for the disadvantaged and vulnerable community.

Healing Arts of the Soul - Kids in Art Therapy - Art therapy counselling for children suffering from the emotional stress and effects of COVID-19.

Diamond Creek Bowling Club - Community Open Day - Free Bare Foot Bowls and Community Open Day allowing members to reconnect and the community to participate.

Eltham Pre-School - Community and Early Learning DeliveryEquipment to support educators to deliver children's story time and offered to the broader community via the library.

Hurstbridge Bowling Club - Community Family DayDue to non-participation in the Wattle Festival, an opportunity to come together as a community.

Research Tennis Club - Covid19 Restart - Marketing and promotion of Open Club Day including Free Tennis Lessons to the broader community once restrictions are lifted.

Montsalvat - Virtual Tour - Virtual Tour of facility allowing the community to visit the premises.

Come Together - COVID Times - Conduct a Free live stream Music Event to bring the community together.

Diamond Creek Men's Shed - COVID RecoveryFees for Zoom Subscription to help members engage and stay connected that in turn allows them to plan and deliver post COVID.

Eltham Lions Club - Community BBQ Trailer Upgrade - Refurbishment to meet standards of Community BBQ Trailer for fundraising for clubs and community groups. Looking to hold Community BBQ's once restrictions are lifted encouraging fundraising and community connection.

Different Journeys - Online with our autism communityDelivery of online programs using the zoom platform, with various interest bases that will attract people to attend and connect with others. The aim is to provide social inclusion events which overcome crippling isolation, build confidence and develop independence.

Eltham Men's' Shed - Returning to normal operation - Cleaning equipment to allow for members return and Zoom subscription keeping members connected allowing them to continue their meetings and plan and deliver for the future post COVID.

Banyule Nillumbik Youth Services Network - Resilience Project - A 90-minute presentation by The Resilience Project. The program will focus on the key resilience pillars of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness, also touching on other wellbeing factors including; emotional literacy, exercise, social connection and living with purpose.
