Positive Ageing Advisory Committee
The Positive Ageing Advisory Committee was established as a reference group in August 2012 and became endorsed as an Advisory Committee by Council in October 2018.
The Committee consists of 18 community members, representing a wide variety of ages (55+), townships, backgrounds and interests from across the Nillumbik community.
- The Positive Ageing Advisory Committee acts as a peak advisory group to Council, advocating for opportunities, barriers and/or issues affecting older people to live and age well in Nillumbik.
- It also provides the opportunity for community representatives to actively discuss, promote and support local initiatives that promote positive ageing and keep older people engaged and connected to their local communities.
