Nillumbik Youth Theatre is delighted to present their stage production of Disney’s smash hit High School Musical. The show opens 1 September at the Eltham College Performance Centre.
A talented and dedicated group of 36 young people have been rehearsing for two hours every week in addition to intensive school holiday workshops to refine their performance and stagecraft skills. The group are supported by another 12 young people working in stage production. The team is led by Director Cath Rutten, Musical Director Timothy Forrester and Choreographer Heidi Trigar.
“I've loved being a part of this year’s show with Nillumbik Youth Theatre. The organisers and cast work so hard to put this show together and as someone who is applying into arts for university this is the perfect opportunity for experience for young people,” said Molly Gregson, member of Nillumbik Youth Theatre.
“I've made so many amazing friends, and progressed as a musical theatre performer. I can't wait to perform with the cast and crew of Nillumbik Youth Theatre Company!” said Molly.
“We are delighted to support these talented young people and provide innovative opportunities for them to showcase their creative skills,” said Nillumbik Mayor Cr Bronnie Hattam. “I encourage everyone to show their support and attend what promises to be a great show.”
