Seniors Festival October 2019

The Victorian Seniors Festival runs during October every year and this year's theme is 'Get into it'

The Festival promotes inclusive communities and provides an opportunity for older people to experience new things, contribute, and remain active and engaged in the local community.

  • Thousands of low cost or free events, and special offers will be available across the State throughout October.
  • Free public transport is available from Sunday 6 October to Sunday 13 October.
  • And, there are local events in and around Nillumbik.

Seniors Festival Launch event SOLD OUT

To launch this years Seniors Festival, Nillumbik Shire Council are delighted to invite you along to this special event.

Come and enjoy a two course meal with friends and experience the magic, the emotion and the brilliance of Buble with a performance from the Australasian Michael Buble Tribute Show. Glenn Starr and his big band deliver 60 minutes of unforgettable music.

Doors open 11am for a 12pm start.

Venue Eltham Community Reception Centre, 801 Main Road Eltham

Cost: $25 per person. Bookings are essential as spaces are limited.

Inaugural 'Discover on the Green' event

This year, an inaugural 'Discover on the Green' event will be held as part of the Seniors Festival.

From Monday 7 October to Friday 11 October, local community groups, businesses and organisations will have the opportunity to showcase their activities and services to an audience of people aged 55+, and their families, in the plaza.

(Proudly supported by Council and Council's Positive Ageing Advisory Committee in partnership with Greensborough Plaza).
