Seniors Festival October 2019
The Victorian Seniors Festival runs during October every year.
The Festival promotes inclusive communities and provides an opportunity for older people to experience new things, contribute, and remain active and engaged in the local community.
There are thousands of low cost or free events, and special offers taking place across the State throughout October. There will also be local events held in and around Nillumbik.

Nillumbik Seniors Festival Program
Every year Council publishes a Nillumbik Seniors Festival Program to highlight the events and activities taking place across Nillumbik during the month of October.
If you are holding an event, we invite you to submit your event details to be included in our program (use 'Submit your event' link below).
There is no cost associated to list or host an event and we'll assist you to promote it in our Nillumbik program and on our website.

We are inviting all community groups, sporting clubs, service providers and businesses to join us in hosting an activity or event. Submit your event details below.
If you participate, Council will support you by promoting your activity or event on our website and in the Nillumbik Seniors Festival Program 2019.

Note: Grant funding applications have closed for 2019.
Inaugural 'Discover on the Green' event
This year, an inaugural 'Discover on the Green' event will be held as part of the Seniors Festival.
From Monday 7 October to Saturday 12 October, local community groups, businesses and organisations will have the opportunity to showcase their activities and services to an audience of people aged 55+, and their families, in the plaza.
(Proudly supported by Council and Council's Positive Ageing Advisory Committee in partnership with Greensborough Plaza).
How you can apply to participate
If your organisation or business offers information or services to support older residents remain healthy, active and connected to their local communities as they age,we encourage you to apply to participate in this exciting new event.
