L2P Recruitment Open Now
The Nillumbik TAC L2P program is now recruiting! The team are on the lookout for Volunteer Mentors who would like to help a local young person in need, can spare two hours per week and enjoy driving.
By volunteering with the TAC L2P Program, you will play an important role in helping young people aged 16-21 years, who do not have access to a supervising driver or safe vehicle and to accrue 120 hours of mandatory supervised driving practice.
We envisage that there will be a lot of learners waitlisted and needing support to get their licence once restrictions are lifted.
Young people rely on having a licence for so many reasons including getting a job, getting safely to work and school, socialising, pursuing sporting interests and wellbeing.
The TAC L2P Program provides free access to registered and fully insured program vehicles and any associated program costs.
You will be partnered with a Learner Driver and must have or be willing to obtain:
- Valid Working with Children Check (Volunteer)
- National Police Check
- Driver Licence History Report
- Successful completion of 10 hours of training
