Background

Ryans Reserve located at Broad Gully Road Diamond Creek will be rejuvenated to create a new community park with funding received as part of the Victorian Government's Growing Suburbs Fund.

It will cater to more diverse groups and provide opportunities for all ages and abilities to participate.

Works include

  • Construction of a new shade sail over new playground.
  • Improvements to existing playground area.
  • Construction of new public toilets and services connections.
  • Construction of new interconnecting paths.
  • Installation of exercise equipment.
  • Drainage improvements throughout.
  • Associated landscaping.

Funding details

State Government Growing Suburbs Fund - $1.19 million

Project updates

June 2025

Works are now complete.

December 2025

The playground is partially opened due to BBQ area still closed with no power at this stage. The project is expected to be completed by February 2025.

Construction started in July 2024 with the playground expected to be completed by November 2024. The toilets will open at a later stage.
