Throughout the year, Nillumbik Shire Council hosts and supports a number of free or low cost events, training and information sessions aimed at supporting people over 55 to live and age well.

Metro Trains Info Session - Making the most of free travel

01 Oct 2026 Victorian Seniors Card holders can access nine days of free public transport across Victoria from 3 to 11 October 2026. This is an opportunity to learn more about the network, build your confidence using trains and to make the most of free transport and Seniors Festival activities in the city and beyond.
