• Dog poo is not accepted in the kerbside green waste bin as it may contain harmful pathogens. The composting process at Veolia compost facility involves a manual sorting process and could expose workers to these hazards.

Cat poo and litter

• Dispose of in your red landfill bin.
• Cat poo should not be home composted.
• Cat litter is not accepted in the kerbside green waste bin. While some cat litter is made from paper, it is not accepted as it can reduce the quality of the compost and increase chances of cat poo going in the bin.

Manure (horse/cow)

Put in your home compost.

Dispose of via Sustainability Victoria's Detox your Home program.
