Fire and heat

Fire Danger Ratings

Fire Danger Ratings describe the potential level of danger should a bushfire start. They provide important information so that people can take action to protect themselves and others from the potentially dangerous impacts of bushfires.

Fire Danger Period

The CFA restricts the use of fire in the community during the Fire Danger Period.
The Fire Danger Period will commence in Nillumbik at 1am on Monday 9 January 2023 and will remain until Monday 1 May 2023 unless stated otherwise.
