Community flag request

Nillumbik community organisations can now request to fly a flag at Civic Drive in recognition of a cause or date of significance to Nillumbik community. 

Who can apply

Requests must be made by a recognised, bonafide organisation. Individuals seeking to make a request are encouraged to reach out to a relevant organisation to make a request on their behalf.

Request requirements

  • Requests should be made at least one calendar month prior to the proposed flag flying date.
  • The flag to be flown must be provided by the organisation making the request. The required size of the flag is 2740mm x 1370mm.
  • All requests must align with Council’s Access, Equity & Inclusion Policy.

For further information or to request a flag, email flagrequest@nillumbik.vic.gov.au.

Councillor officers will respond to all requests within 10 business days.
