Join Councils Biodiversity Officer for a morning bird walk at Ironbark Road Reserve This event offers a wonderful opportunity to observe and learn about local bird species in their natural habitat. It is for all experience levels from curious beginners to serious twitchers. We will survey for birds, discuss calls heard, discuss the various citizen science and bird identification guides for bird observations, discuss habitats and how the birds use them. Don't forget to bring your binoculars and/or camera (if you have some), a notebook, comfortable walking shoes, rain jacket/warm clothes, and water. This is a walk, moving along the trail and some open areas following bird calls and sightings as we go, so we will be on our feet for the hour and a half. Meeting point is the dirt carpark to the rear of the reserve. We will walk through the reserve and around the outside. Event logistics: bring binoculars, long pants and hiking shoes, hat or coat depending on the weather
