International Women's Day evening event - 11 March 2021
Everyone is invited to attend Nillumbik Shire Council's 2021 International Women’s Day (IWD) Virtual Event
Date: Thursday 11 March 2021
Location: virtual event (online)
A celebration of great achievements by women, the virtual event will run from 7pm-9pm and includes:
- Djirri Djirri opening and Welcome to Country
- Young Women Leaders of Nillumbik Awards
- Keynote address by award winning writer, speaker and appearance activist Carly Findlay
The 2021 IWD theme is #ChooseToChallenge
A challenged world is an alert world.

International Women's Day Week - 8 to 12 March 2021
In addition to the main event and during the week of 8-12 March 2021, there will be virtual and face-to-face events and activities on offer, which will include:

- Local female author
- Women's Health events
- Local artist creative writing story
- Art Gallery/online exhibition of local female artists
- Stilt walkers over 3 days in 3 areas of the Shire
- Qi Gong class
