Let's slow this down and have fun at the same time.

Refresh your wardrobe without spending on new pieces at our big clothes swap event.

With over 100 spots available, you can book in and bring up to 6 garments and accessories that are no longer bringing you joy, to exchange for other items.

How it works

Book your spot today! 

Once you have washed and checked your garments for any flaws (we don't accept items that are stained, pilled or smelly) pack them up and bring them along to our swap at 2pm on Saturday 24 October.

At drop off you will be given a token with which to 'buy' some new pieces. It's like shopping without cash. One token is equal to one item. Garments must be of good quality and be free from stains, holes, pills and no smell with plenty of wear left for their new life. Items will be screened at the event before exchanged for tokens.

The best items to swap are good quality garments that you once loved but are no longer your favourites or perhaps no longer fit you perfectly. This way, you’re giving them a second life with someone new who will treasure them.

To allow time to set up the event, please drop off your item in the allocated drop off time.

• Drop off: 2.00pm - 3pm (Please arrive for the drop off time, otherwise we may not be able to accept your items.)
• Swap starts: 3pm
• Swap ends: 4pm

What we accept

• Adult size clothing (all genders)
• Tops, shirts, blouses, jackets and coats
• Pants, jeans and shorts
• Skirts, dresses and suits
• Shoes (no boxes)
• Accessories (necklaces, belts, scarves hats)
• Clean, folder or pressed items
• Good quality items with a long potential lifespan
• Items free of faults or with minor faults that are easy to repair 

What we don't accept

• Kids/teen clothing
• Anything pilled, dirty or too worn
• Undergarments
• Swimwear 
• Tracksuits and activewear

This clothing swap is delivered by the Clothing Exchange proudly presented by Nillumbik Shire Council in collaboration with Yarra Plenty Regional Library
