REthink Nillumbik is hosting a series of free workshops at the Nillumbik Repair Cafe. At these sessions, you can learn fantastic new skills to use at home, and also help Nillumbik reduce its waste and transition to a circular economy. A circular economy is one that repairs, reuses and repurposes objects rather than throwing them away.
Learn how simple it is to repair loose soles and extend the life of your footwear. We'll show you the right adhesives to use, the tools and techniques that work best, and give tips for achieving a strong bond. Save money on simple repairs and keep your shoes functional, comfortable, and out of landfill.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own shoes along to practise on during the session, or get advice from our repairers on how best to fix them.
FREE but bookings are essential.
All Lost Skills sessions are free to attend and open to everyone in Nillumbik. This session is great for anyone wanting to learn a handy new skill, save money by doing their own DIY, or support a circular economy by giving objects a new lease on life.
