The Seniors Festival is back this October!

The Nillumbik Seniors Festival program for 2023 kicks off on Thursday 5 October, with a sold-out Seniors Social Lunch at Eltham Community and Reception Centre.

The theme of this year’s Victorian Seniors Festival is Learn, Love, Live.

The program has a strong focus on health and well-being, with free or low-cost preventative health events and sessions to help you feel connected, refreshed and at ease.

Council participates annually in this festival to recognise and celebrate people over 55 in the Shire.

Nillumbik Mayor Ben Ramcharan said “it’s an opportunity to encourage the participation of older people in community activities and events.”

“Finding ways to get out and connect with each other is integral at any age. Regardless of your background, experience or mobility, I encourage you to join in, learn a skill and make new friends in our community.”

Some of the great activities and opportunities to enjoy include morning teas, information sessions, come and try art, exercise classes and much more.
