Due to the Grand Final Eve public holiday, Council’s offices, customer service desk and the Recycling Centre will be closed on Friday 29 September. Bin collections will continue as normal.

Council has launched its first podcast series, a 10 part audio “how to” guide to support local businesses to navigate the planning, start-up and expansion phases of small business highlighting Nillumbik’s Planning and Business Concierge service.
The series offers listeners a succinct and informative guide with insights on best practice tips on how to get a business started within the Shire. Internal “subject matter experts” from each of Council’s regulatory areas have been interviewed for the series which covers off the following topics:
The podcast is an audio extension to the existing information offered by Council.
Nillumbik Mayor Ben Ramcharan said that Council has recently participated in the Business Friendly Council Approvals program, designed to achieve better outcomes for all businesses that liaise with each of Council’s regulatory areas.
“This podcast series, a first for our Council, has been developed as part of this process,” Cr Ramcharan said. “The podcast is designed to complement Council’s Planning and Business Concierge Service.”

The series is hosted by small business advocate Karyn Harte from the podcast series “The Buzz” and is proudly supported by the Victorian Government’s Business Friendly Council Approvals Program.
