Practically Green events

Re-imagine Re-think Re-energise - sustainability events for Nillumbik

Clean Energy Nillumbik (CEN) will be planning and delivering Nillumbik’s Practically Green events in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

They have been funded by Council and have an exciting series of events planned for the Shire throughout spring. You can look forward to some fun new events and ideas, as well as programs you can join.

It’s an exciting time in energy with so many new technologies and ideas becoming the new norm. Many people want more action to address climate change and CEN is demonstrating practical ways for the Nillumbik community to help make a difference.

Here’s what CEN has planned in 2020:

Sustainable House Day events

19-20 September

RE-imagine the possibilities for your home to be more comfortable and inexpensive to run. Insulation, double glazing, solar, heat pumps, draught proofing… sometimes it’s hard to know where to start! Here’s a great opportunity to talk to other homeowners to find out what worked for them. Whether you’re looking to optimise or starting from scratch, you’ll find information from householders who’ve been there before you. With this year’s virtual events you can access more information than ever. Join video tours and online Q&A sessions with households throughout Nillumbik and around the country.

  • The Nillumbik Trail - Zoom Q&A with local homeowners - Saturday 19 September, 9:00am - 4:30pm

Join with other ‘visitors’ in a conversation via a half hour Zoom Q&A session with the homeowners of each Nillumbik home that interests you.
