Matt Stonehouse performing Around the Corner 

Filmed at Edendale Community Environment Farm, Eltham.

Matt Stonehouse is a local musician, composer and instrument maker. He is Australia’s foremost percussionist of Arabic and Turkish styles of drumming and is featured on more than forty albums of both local and international artists.

In addition to percussion, Matt is a highly regarded guitarist, mandolin and mandocello player. He has previously been an artist in residence at both Dunmoochin, in Cottles Bridge, and Montsalvat, in Eltham.

Hana Zreikat (Sounds Like Hana) performing Black Balloons

Hana is a Nillumbik-based singer songwriter. Music teacher by day, renegade composer and singer songwriter by night, Hana’s compositions have been performed worldwide, from Vatican City (Rome) to Federation Square (Melbourne) and Hordern Pavilion (Sydney).

Hana has composed and conducted for organisations such as The Australian National Academy Of Music, The Australian Children’s Choir, Creativity Australia and The Ballarat Symphony Orchestra.

Johnny Cronin performing Home

Johnny Cronin is a Dublin-born singer songwriter living in Eltham. He came to Australia in 1986 with little more than his rucksack and an acoustic guitar.

His musical interests and influences range across folk, rock, country and alternative styles. The strength and passion that runs through his music is matched by his ability as a songwriter and storyteller and by his amazing voice.

The Paperback Writers are an ‘ordinary bunch of kids from Eltham’ living out their collective dream of creating and performing original music. They are

  • Thomas Lingard: Rhythm and Lead Guitar
  • Elliot McCluskey: Drums
