Join the Entomological Society of Victoria and Council's biodiversity team for our night time insect survey and delve into the captivating world of invertebrates and help us unlock the hidden wonders of Hohnes Hill.

Learn how to survey for ants, moths and other insects. Contribute to citizen science and improve our understanding about the biodiversity of Nillumbik.

Event logistics

This event will largely be at night, people attending need to be comfortable walking in dark bushland areas at night. We will search for invertebrates in bushland areas and also have moth light sheets set up for people to see what invertebrates are attracted to the light sheets after dark.

Please bring a torch/head torch, camera and wear clothes appropriate for weather and outdoor conditions (including snacks/water).
