Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold or lacquer to celebrate its imperfections rather than hide them. The philosophy of kintsugi is about finding beauty in the broken and recognising that something can be made stronger and more resilient through repair.
Join us in this workshop to repair your own precious plate, bowl, or cup and give it new life. As well as creating a beautiful new object, you’ll be repairing a useful item and saving it from landfill.
This event is proudly presented by Nillumbik Shire Council in collaboration with Going Green Solutions.
The session is free to attend, but bookings are essential.
