Nillumbik Iftar - Building Bridges While Breaking Bread

decorative

The SalamFest Iftar in Nillumbik will be a vibrant and inclusive gathering that honours the spiritual and cultural significance of Ramadan while welcoming people of all backgrounds to share in this special moment.

At the heart of the evening will be a communal Iftar meal, featuring a diverse selection of traditional and contemporary dishes prepared by halal certified caterers, with thoughtful options to meet a range of dietary needs. The shared meal invites neighbours to connect, reflect and experience the generosity and hospitality that define Ramadan.

Interactive cultural experiences will take place at Eltham Library, including henna art, calligraphy and a Rumi-inspired art installation designed to engage families and spark curiosity across generations.

Proudly supported by Nillumbik Shire Council, this inaugural Iftar reflects a shared commitment to inclusion, belonging and celebrating the diverse traditions that enrich life in Nillumbik.
