Kick off Summer Sounds on Friday 6 February with a night of music, movement and connection.

Set to the theme Beginnings: Connections, enjoy Dan Cully’s rootsy folk, Ganga Giri’s powerful First Nations beats, and Sarah Catania’s heartfelt country. Bring a picnic, explore Edendale Farm at twilight, and dance under the stars.

Gates open at 5pm, live music from 6pm-9pm.

Artists

Dan Cully 

Roots & Folk. Multi-instrumentalist. | 6pm-6.30pm

Dan Cully writes original indie/roots music. His instrumental talent incorporates harmonica, didgeridoo, stomp box, guitar and soaring vocal melodies, giving his solo performance the power of a band. His sound can be likened to artists such as Xavier Rudd or John Butler. Dan is a national touring artist and has performed at some of Australia’s best festivals.

Ganga Giri

First Nations Didge 'n Dance | 6.45pm-7.45pm

Blending Aboriginal roots with global beats, this proud Palawa Bunurong man has been rocking audiences of millions worldwide for 30 years.  Recognised by Aboriginal elders for honouring the Yidaki’s (didgeridoo’s) spiritual and cultural heritage, Ganga channels the sacred connection to Country through every performance. He is a global cultural ambassador, showing the world what a contemporary, multicultural Australia sounds like.

Sarah Catania

Sarah Catania is a rising star in Australian country music, renowned for her heartfelt songwriting and captivating stage presence. With a voice that carries both strength and vulnerability, Sarah blends classic country storytelling with a fresh, contemporary edge that resonates with audiences nationwide.

MC Annie Fletcher 

Annie Fletcher has been immersed in music, dance and community for decades. You might know her from Rhythm Antics, Hurstbridge Belly Dance, the Footscray Gypsy Orchestra, or as MC at Boite World Harmonies concerts. She’s led drumming workshops at festivals and leads the Drum Connection drumming group.

A proud Nillumbik local of more than 20 years, Annie brings her signature energy to this concert series - and when the rhythm hits, she’ll be the first to invite you to dance.

  • Pop into Cafe Eden for a cuppa, cold drink or some home cooked goodies.
  • Order a sizzling snack from the BBQ tent.

Nillumbik Shire Council is committed to low or no waste events. Please try to make your picnic as waste-free as possible and take your rubbish home with you.

There is some parking available at the front of Edendale and overflow parking may be available at Eltham North Adventure Playground where you can access Edendale via the back gate.
