Events can provide a wide range of social, economic and cultural benefits to the community. Successful community events require detailed planning and consultation.
The information and guidelines provided will help you to plan a successful event, considering import aspects including accessibility, safety and permits you may require.
The Guidelines for community events(PDF, 470KB) provides you with information that we require from groups or individuals organising a community event. The guide covers topics including public liability insurance, local laws, waste management and signage. The guidelines for community events is currently under review. Temporary advertising signs for your event
We have 14 temporary signage locations available for local community and not-for-profit groups to advertise forthcoming community events. To apply, complete the application form(PDF, 221KB). Written approval is required prior to sign installation. See the Policy statement(PDF, 189KB) for site locations and compliance guidelines.
