Rates assistance

If you're having trouble paying your rates, we're here to help.

Interest applies to late payments. Speak to our Rates team if you are having trouble paying before the due date.

To help you manage your rates, there are options available.

  • Pay in smaller, more regular amounts with Payble
  • Check whether you're eligible for a concession
  • Contact the National Debt Helpline for free information and advice. Call 1800 007 007 or visit the National Debt Helpline or find out more below.

Payment plans

For ratepayers who have not been able to pay their rates in full by the due date, Council may be able to help you set up a payment plan. Request a payment plan.

Note: Council rate payment plans are being monitored by Council's debt management agency Recoveries and Reconstruction (Aust.) Pty Ltd. Correspondence regarding your payment plan will come from them on behalf of Council. Entering into a payment plan will not affect your credit rating.

If you're experiencing hardship

If you're experiencing hardship and want to discuss your options, contact our Rates team on 9433 3285.
