Children’s Week is a national celebration of children’s rights held each October.
Events across Australia recognise children’s achievements and highlight their right to enjoy childhood, be heard and thrive.
This year’s theme is based on UNCRC Article 30: Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion.
Nillumbik Shire Council will be celebrating with a day of fun and engaging activities for all agesat Edendale Community Environment Farm on Wednesday 28 October 2026.
Meet your local Police and Fire Rescue Victoria crews and explore their vehicles up close, enjoy a round of portable golf and experience tai chi and traditional dance performances by the Chinese Seniors Association.
Get creative in our cultural craft corner or collect a Bird Bingo card and encourage children to explore their surroundings, practise their observation skills and discover a love of nature.
