Carers Collective

Do you live or work in Nillumbik (and surrounds) and provide unpaid care and support to a loved one with a disability, mental illness, chronic health issue or age-related condition?

We welcome all types of carers that provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends with a disability, developmental delay, mental illness, chronic health issue or age-related conditions.

The Collective began earlier in 2021, during covid times, and hosts a mixture of online and in person events across the Nillumbik region, including:

  • Regular online and in-person peer support groups
  • Health and wellbeing activities such as meditation, yoga and walking groups.
  • Educational workshops to upskill or discover a new passion
  • Inspiring guest speakers
  • Recreational and social events such as brunch get togethers, farm visits etc
  • Safe online space in a closed member-only Facebook group
