International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is held each year across the world on 3 December.

IDPwD is a United Nations observed day aimed at raising awareness and celebrating the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities, both visible and invisible. People are encouraged to challenge the way they think about disability and help grow more inclusive communities for the estimated 4.4 million Australians with disability.

International Day of People with Disability grants

Each year, Council offers grants of up to $1,000 to support community groups, schools and not-for-profit organisations to run events or activities to acknowledge and celebrate IDPwD.

2023 IDPwD grants are now closed.
