Recently rediscovered lost tapes of the 1979 Christmas Hills Festival, featuring Nillumbik associated artists, Men at Work, Captain Matchbox, Rueben Tice, Captain Rock, Robbie Greig, Skyhooks and others, will underpin a six-week series of radio programs and 'podcasts', revealing how artists helped ‘Save Christmas Hills’ from the proposed Watsons Creek dam.

The Art Show will exhibit 3D and 2D works, featuring paintings from local artists who live in Nillumbik or are connected with Nillumbik's artistic heritage. Works will be connected with the historical legacy of the early forefathers of Nillumbik art. Being exhibited over 10 days at the Eltham Community and Reception Centre, the grant will be expended on display boards and signage.

Connected by Rhythm empowers young musicians from the Learning Co-operative to lead performances and interactive percussion workshops alongside the Nillumbik community. Delivering two workshops per term, students will guide participants in creating rhythms with marimbas, tablas, and boomwhackers, using the universal language of music to inspire joy, connection and community across all ages.

Workshops to teach carers safe, supportive touch and gentle massage methods, highlighting the importance of safe, supportive human touch in caregiving and community health. Accessible in-person and online, the project aims to reduce stress and improve the wellbeing of Nillumbik carers and care recipients, including older adults, people with disabilities, First Nations peoples, and people from LGBTQIA+ communities.
